Question: How is a cardiopulmonary test done?

What does the test involve? During the CPET test the patient will be required to perform mild exercise on an upright bicycle whilst breathing through a mouthpiece. Each breath will be measured to assess how the body is performing. The capacity and strength of the lungs is measured before and during exercise.

What is a good result for the 6 minute walk Test?

Although the MID varies slightly depending on the test method and study population, the available evidence suggests that it is about 30 m. A 2019 article notes that doctors can use 6MWT scores to predict the severity of lung conditions or the likelihood that they will be fatal.
